The We Don’t Do Average Movement is a school initiative that empowers students to achieve excellence in both character and academics. The program is a partnership between four nationally recognized organizations that are impacting communities and schools across the country, Core Essential Values (Character Education) and The No C Campaign (Academic Excellence Incentive Experience), Rockmart Chick-Fil-A, and community transformation organization, For Polk, a chapter of For Our Neighbors.

Over time, kids decide what they believe about values, behaviors, and choices. It doesn’t happen overnight. And it always needs to be reinforced. We equip schools, families, and communities to instill values, those inward attitudes that become outward behaviors. By using a common language of a monthly value and it’s simple definition along with easy-to-implement resources, we help kids in schools and their families to:

  • Designed for middle school students to reach other students in creative, fun, and organic ways
  • Includes announcements and a monthly video
  • Includes class resources like discussion questions and journal prompts
  • Includes toolkit of suggestion for decorations and planning

  • We provide 2 assemblies included in any package your school chooses to move forward with. These assemblies will feature a culturally relevant, motivational speaker that will address your entire school about living a life of excellence.
  • Schools also have the option to add-on No C parties. These are 3 parties that take place during the school year that include music, prizes, games, and a whole lot of fun. The first party incorporates all students and the other two act as parties for students who excelled in academics and in behavior. The final party also includes food.

  • For Character incentives, Chick-Fil-A Rockmart will provide Value-Able Cards.
  • For Academic incentives, No C parties include various prizes such as but not limited to drones, tvs, video game consoles, head phones, clothes, and candy.

You’ve heard the saying, “It takes a village to raise a child.”

We believe whole heartedly it takes a group of adults teaming together to teach a child their value and character. That includes the educator who spends more than 1300 hours a year with students. That includes the parents, the most influential adult in a child’s life. We also believe it includes community leaders, such as coaches, pastors, business leaders, mentors, etc. who are consistent leaders to students. WDDA offers an innovative approach where character education reaches beyond the classroom through homes, businesses and community organization involvement. In short, you’re not alone. You have a team working along side of you. You also have  resources and support from the Rockmart Chick-Fil-A and For Polk team.
